Reverse Engineering (RE):
the process of disassembling and analysing an existing product for the purpose of generating product documentation.

One common motivation to reverse engineer an electronic product is to determine
whether a competitor's product contains patent infringements or
copyright infringements.
You may wish to duplicate an existing component, product or
subassembly, without the aid of documentation, schematic diagrams or
pcb layout.
Another motivation may be to improve an existing product to surpass competitors.
The result is usually a: schematic diagram, block diagram, flowchart, circuit board layout, or operations manual.
Reverse engineering is required more and more as older products require support.
Sometimes, for older products, the original schematics and product
documentation has been lost, and it is necessary to re-create the
documentation. We can do this for you.
